Honza is a keen supporter of Acompalia offering his time and expertise in the IT department. He is also the one behind Acompalia’s Web development. In his spare time, when not geeking away in the solitary confinement of his windowless office, he runs up and down the mountains of Vélez de Benaudalla.

October 18th may be remembered by many as one of the rainiest day post summer in Andalusia, while we at Acompalia will remember that special day as a fundraising success.
The opening night is going to be an event to remember! We will be joined by the dignitaries of Motril as well as our beloved Acompalia Artistica artists, who have all made this event possible. Musicians, Toni Connolly and Luis Gomez will be playing live acid jazz, as graceful circus performers twirl from the ceiling.

Acompalia Artistica launches art exhibition at La Azucarera, Motril.
Reformed sugar factory hosts charity exhibition to fundraise for palliative care.
Acompalia Artistica, an art collective that fundraises for Acompalia (http://www.acompalia.org) – a provider of palliative care in Granada province and the Costa Tropical – is launching an art exhibition at the reformed La Azucarera sugar factory at Pilar, Motril. The exhibition commences on Saturday 25 November with an opening event inaugurated by the dignitaries of Motril, and then runs until 16 December 2017. Opening hours for the duration of the exhibition are 7pm until 10pm Wednesday to Saturday.

No longer “for the poor only”, modern charity shops are the new heart of the community.
The elegantly restored building of the Sugar factory in Motril will host a group art exhibition from Acompalia Artistica. International and local artists will join together to show you their large scale contemporary works from 25th November—16th December 2017 to raise money and awareness for Acompalia. Come along and be inspired; listen to artists talks and various musical nights during the show.
Acompalia supporters from Jaén will be walking the Marbella 4 Days Walking event this year again and raise funds for our charity. You can join them and grow the Acompalia Activa team or support Sara, Simon, Sue, Mike and Inga directly by donating.

Acompalia’s festive Wine Tasting Quiz starts the autumnal feel even in Granada Province. Presiding over the competition is Trudy Spencer, another of our lovely supporter and a veteran of the wine trade and formerly West of England Wine Manager.

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day is a unified day of action to celebrate and support the global hospice and palliative care movement. Every year, on the second Saturday of October, all around the world people gather together to celebrate. This year, World Hospice and Palliative Care Day will be celebrated on October 14th.
