Acompalia’s festive Wine Tasting Quiz starts the autumnal feel even in Granada Province. Presiding over the competition is Trudy Spencer, another of our lovely supporter and a veteran of the wine trade and formerly West of England Wine Manager.
Thanks to our volunteers’ muscles, unceasing enthusiasm and goals to re-open our centre for the public at the beginning of September, we have transformed the plan into reality. It will be our pleasure to welcome you!
World Hospice and Palliative Care Day is a unified day of action to celebrate and support the global hospice and palliative care movement. Every year, on the second Saturday of October, all around the world people gather together to celebrate. This year, World Hospice and Palliative Care Day will be celebrated on October 14th.

Hochkarätiges Flamenco-Konzert mit international bekannten Stars. Schirmherr Pepe Luis Habichuela Carmona organisiert für Acompalia das wahrscheinlich beste Flamenco-Konzert in der Provinz Granada.
Ein Netzwerk führt Künstler zusammen und fördert sinnvolle Projekte eines ilfsvereins. Acompalia unterstützt Künstler und sammelt zugleich Spenden für die Arbeit in der Palliativpflege und den Bau eines Hospizes.

By being human we all have something in common: one day we will bid farewell to our loved ones. We continue with the series of articles that we hope will give a better understanding of just what Acompalia is working hard to achieve.
For a charity to be able to help others, we need the right mix of various ingredients: dedicated volunteers, generous donors, recurring subsidies, supporting members. At Acompalia, we also are blessed to have supporters that keep on going the extra mile and we are proud to call them Acompalia Angels!

They did it again! Armed with their invincible smiles, their energy, their joie-de-vivre, our amazing supporter group in Castell de Ferro have run two successful events this summer, raising hundreds of euros!
Sunday August the 6th will be an enormous night for Acompalia. All the visiting artists are giving their acts free, volunteers are set to man the entry gates and information stations, sponsors are coming on board and the Ayuntamiento is giving us the venue free – all ensuring that the concert will be a huge success!
Talking about palliative care is not easy. In our monthly newsletter, we started a new series of articles that we hope will help you better understand what Acompalia is working hard to achieve and how the team and volunteers at Acompalia can help the communities, foreign and Spanish.
June 12th to 14th, Cudeca and the International Collaborative for Best Care for the Dying Person held a three-day conference with plenary sessions and round tables to further the talk about how to improve care for people at the end of their lives. The event was by invitation only, and gathered 35 attendees from 10 different countries. It was an honour for Acompalia to have been invited.

We are closing our Lanjaron shop/centre in July for two weeks for refurbishments. We are looking for volunteers, items to be donated … help us with your time and hands to prepare our Lanjaron Centre for another season.
